What is History Teaching?

As part of my studies towards a Doctor of Education, I have created this blog in an attempt to develop the ideas introduced in the earlier blog Why do I think, what I think I think about Teaching and Learning by exploring more specifically my beliefs about what it means to teach, learn and do History. As part of this blog, I discuss both experiences and literature which have had a significant impact upon the formation of these beliefs. As with the complementary blog , I have tried to ensure that these reflections draw upon existing sources of evidence as much as possible, rather than relying simply upon recall. In this way I attempt to document the way in which I became a teacher of History and so create an authentic autoethnography of this process.
