This unit of work examines the film Rabbit Proof Fence as a stimulus to investigate the nature of perspectives, the epistemology of Historians and to introduce the skills of critical evaluation of sources. The film might also be used as an introduction to the treatment of Indigenous Australians in the Twentieth Century as part of a Rights and Freedoms Unit.
Resources for this unit are available from Sue Burvill-Shaw. Please indicate whether you are interested in investigating the treatment of Indigenous Australians or introducing perspectives, and the epistemology of Source criticism.
